Welcome to Community Presbyterian Church! Each week we are privileged to have new people attending worship for the first time, and we want you to feel welcome among us. Following the service, please join us in Teddy’s Hall for fellowship and refreshments.

Blood Pressure Screenings in the Wellness Office between 10:00 and 11:00. 
Mark Your Calendars ~ For these upcoming church events:
Healthy Cooking Class ~ Tuesday, July 10, 5-7 pm This month's theme is "healthy and yummy summer picnic foods."  The cost is $5-10/person (give as you are able) and includes dinner, recipes, and instruction.  Please sign up no later than Sunday, July 8.
Week of July 16-20, daily ~ Vacation Bible School for students age 4 through fifth grade.  How can you help make VBS a success?  We are glad you asked!  Today after both services you can stop by the VBS sign-up table in the narthex.  Diane Wilson will answer your questions.  In addition to the registration forms, there are sign-up sheets to help provide one of the many items needed.  You can also help by distributing VBS flyers to family, friends, and neighbors.  For more information, you can contact Diane through the church office.
"Christmas in July" ~ During the month of July, the CPC Wellness Ministries Team will provide a Troop Barrel in the church narthex for items to be sent to our local troops who are serving overseas.  Lists of suggested items to be donated are attached to the barrel. For more information, please contact Lynda Talbot through the church office.
SATURDAY, August 25, Noon to 4:00 pm ~ Picnic at the Park!  The start of something new for Community Presbyterian Church in a new location--Sam Johnson Park at 333 SW 15th St--with the pavilion already reserved with plans for activities and games for young children through high school.  Bring the family!  Enjoy visiting your church family in an informal setting. Both park and playground are accessible to those who are physically challenged. More details to come or, for more information, please contact either Sharon Lynch or Linda Jackson-Shaw through the church office.
Announcements and Volunteer Opportunities ~
Sound and Projection System Volunteers Needed ~ Please call the office if you would be interested in voluteering to help run either the sound system or projection system during the Sunday morning worship services.
Calling All Ushers ~ Participate in Sunday worship by volunteering to usher at either service from June through December.  You may choose one Sunday a month or for six months or whatever fits your schedule.  Find the usher book on the sign-up table in the narthex.  Contact the church office if you have any questions.
Sunday Morning Kitchen Helpers Needed ~ The Food and Fellowship Team needs extra helpers in the kitchen on Sunday mornings.  If you are able to volunteer, please contact Sharon Lynch through the church office. 
Spring Directory ~ The 2018 edition is available for pick up in the narthex by the sign-up sheets.
Do Remember
Save the Dates for the 2018 Parking Lot Sale ~ set-up on Thursday, September 13, with the annual sale on Friday and Saturday, September 14-15. For questions or more information, contact either Margo Menown or Rocky Johnson through the church office.  Please consider saving those extra unneeded items that others may appreciate--especially tools, garden equipment, seasonal items such as Christmas decorations, clean and lightly used clothing.  All donations support our Africa misson.
Coffee and Tea Donations ~ The Congregational Life Team is accepting donations for coffee and large teabags for ice tea to support the fellowship hour on Sunday mornings.  Thank you.
Per Capita ~ You can now choose to pay your Per Capita online! Go to www.redmondcpc.org click on the GIVE NOW BUTTON and choose the Per Capita option. This year’s Per Capita is $32.00 per person.
College Coffee Crew ~ Come enjoy fellowship and spiritual enrichment with our College Coffee Crew. The group meets weekly on Mondays, from 7:30 to 8:30 am at Green Plow Coffee Roasters, 436 SW 6th St, downtown Redmond.
Support our youth with your bottles and cans ~ Please leave them by CPC's north door on the lowel level.  Thank you.
Juniper Springs ~ Information brochures from our new neighbors at Juniper Springs are located by the sign-up sheets in the narthex. Please feel free to take one.
Planning Ahead ~ Summer Schedule includes one 10:00 worship service from Sunday, July 22, through Sunday, September 2.  More information to come regarding each Sunday's service format.
