our STAFF:
Rev. Andrew Hoeksema
Lead Pastor
I am a pastor because I love God and I love people and that’s what this is all about! I take joy in preaching the good news of God’s love for us week in and week out, in encouraging friends to grow in their own spiritual life, and discovering together the mission God has for us as a church. My wife, Holly, and I love spending our free time playing outside, reading great books, cooking food and enjoying all the goodness Central Oregon has to offer.
Before pastoring in Redmond, I have worked in university ministry, Christian camping and adventure ministry, corporate teambuilding, and with non-profits that focus on politics, housing, and the environment, most of that in Northern California. I have my Masters of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary and a B.A. from Dordt College in Iowa.

Ryan O'Sullivan
Operations Manager
Ryan loves making things work! His passion is to make both Sunday service and the presence of church in the community truly exceptional. It is his goal that those who encounter Community Presbyterian Church experience the joy that comes from Christ's presence. He and his family love their new community and look forward to many years of skiing in the winter and playing on the river with their puppy in the summer.
Kelsey Stealey
Youth Director
I am the youth director for CPC, and I have been heavily involved with the youth for 3 years now. I grew up going to CPC and love the community and family that this church offers. I have a passion for teenagers and kids, so I love getting to spend time with them each week and helping them grow in their faith journey. When not working, I enjoy being outdoors and active, especially during the summer months with the gorgeous weather that Central Oregon blesses us with. I would love to hear from you if you are a family with kids/teenagers, or if you just have ideas and want to connect with the younger generations.
Karen Sipes
Director of Choir
Karen has been CPC's Choir director for over 14 years. While she holds a degree in vocal music and is classically trained, Karen's musical roots stem from Musical Theatre, having been a stage performer since the age of three. Karen is also a private vocal instructor, stage director, teacher, stand up comic, writer, improv performer and Reiki Practitioner. She has a deep love of God, nature, animals, and is blessed with two beautiful sons, Devin and Sean, and an adventure companion dog named Lobo.
I am the contemporary worship leader here at Community Presbyterian Church. I have a degree in music education from the University of Oregon, and have been teaching music and singing professionally since 2003.
I really enjoy bringing a fresh current feel to our contemporary worship music, and at times, it is fun to blend contemporary with the traditional style. I love sharing my faith with those around me, and encouraging those who need encouraging. I am very thankful to be in a position to share Jesus’ love through music.
I have lived in Central Oregon most of my life. When I’m not singing or teaching, you will find me hiking, skiing, camping, practicing yoga, reading, watching movies, or on a trip to the beach. I love to travel too.
